Tonight we are at Sun and Sand RV Park outside of Lincoln City Oregon on the Pacific Coast Highway. It is a jewel of a place with campsites right on the sand, killer sunsets and outlet shopping just down the road. Yes you can only hold off for so long. It is Oregon right? So no tax and great deals make for fun shopping excursions.
As soon as we got to our campsite we took the camper off and I headed into town with the ladies to shop and shop and shop.
We went to the Tangers Outlet in Lincoln City and got some pretty good bargains. I am still hoping to hit Nordstrom Rack before we head home but as far as the kids are concerned I did pretty good today.
After a quick stop for a few groceries we headed back to the campsite. The girls took their Dad down to the beach while I BBQ'd some chicken and tried a new prawn recipe. I got some chili olive oil in Lodi so I sprinkled a bit on the prawns with the usual lime zest and garlic then wrapped them in aluminum foil and stuck them on the que. Rachel came running up from the beach saying I had to come quick so I left the que for a bit and ran down just in time to catch the sun dropping out of the sky. I might have gone on and on about how stunning the Bryce Canyon. Sunset was but this Coast girl knows there is nothing more beautiful then the sun setting over the ocean! We got back to the campsite just in time for

me to pull the prawns off! They were delicious!

It is nice to be back on the coast! Grace said she felt less homesick today! I have to agree ! A bit more sea air and then time to head home.

Woke up early this am and just in from a gorgeous 5 miles into GlenEden State Park then around the Wyndham Resort. Beautiful morning. Now waking the ladies for some beach combing before heading up to Portland.- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
